Key findings - July 2004 sales:
EH postcodes - the average for all EH postcodes in July 2004 showed an increase over June 2004, not only in average value (now at £154k) but also in volume of sales.
Glasgow G postcodes- although volumes were up in July 2004 compared to June 2004 and July 2003, the average price fell compared to June.
Aberdeen AB postcodes - average sales values well up on June 2004 (as were volumes). Not as many sales reported as July 2003 but average value considerably higher.
Renfrewshire - PA postcodes - Volume of sales slightly down as were averages compared to June 2004.
Lanarkshire - ML postcodes - average sales value plus volume slightly down on June 2004 but up considerably on July 2003.
Remember, you can enter a part postcode or full postcode to the search box to look at the performance of the housing market in your particular area. i.e EH2 or EH2 1, etc.

In most instances ,you will achieve best results if you type in the first part of a postcode, i.e G68. You can make your search wider - i.e type in FK for all Stirlingshire property , DD - Angus, IV Invernesshire, EH Edinburgh and Lothians, KA - Ayr, AB - Aberdeenshire, etc. The results returned include the average prices paid for all property types sold. This can therefore include flats, semis or detached dwellings. We have removed transactions less than £10000 and greater than £1 million from the averages.
